AICPA 응시요건

AICPA 라이센스 취득을 위해 기존에 진행하려고 했던 Maine주에서 WA(워싱턴)주로 방향을 돌려 진행할까 한다.

AICPA자격증 합격도 쉽지 않겠지만..

우선 학점요건은 다음과 같다.

Maine 주 : 회계학 15학점 이수

WA 주 : 학사(총 150학점 이상), 경영학 24학점, 회계학 24학점(upper-lever 15학점)

2017년 4월부터 AICPA 시험 유형이 좀 더 어렵게 변한다고 한다.

라이센스 취득을 목적으로 하기 때문에 Maine주를 포기하고 WA주로 응시하고자 한다.

WA주는 경력요건이 다른 주에 비해 관대한 편이다.

*WA주 경력요건

The employment experience should demonstrate that it occurred in a work environment and included tasks sufficient to have provided an opportunity to obtain the competencies and:

• Total a minimum of 12-months (this time period does not need to be consecutive);
• Total minimum of 2,000 hours;
• Provided the opportunity to utilize the skills generally used in business and accounting and auditing including, but not limited to, accounting for transactions, budgeting, data analysis, internal auditing, preparation of reports to taxing authorities, controllership functions, financial analysis, performance auditing and similar skills;
• Be verified by a licensed CPA who holds a valid CPA license to practice public accounting in a US jurisdiction for a minimum of five years prior to verifying the experience, including the date that the experience is verified. The five years do not need to be consecutive.
• Be obtained no more than eight years prior to the date the Board receives your complete license application.

1년의 경력만 회계 및 재무 유사경력으로 인정받으면 라이센스 취득이 가능하다.

Maine주는 시험 응시요건은 회계학 15학점으로 가능하나, 경력요건이 조금 더 까다롭고 SSN이 필요한 것으로 알고 있다.

계획했던 Maine주는 일단 접고, 워싱턴 주로 응시 요건을 만들어나가려고 한다.

지금까지 받아놓은 학점은행으로 이수한 내역은 다음과 같다.

회계학(15학점, upper12학점?) : Tax Accounting I, Principles of Accounting, Accounting Theory, Intermediete Accounting, Audit I

경영학(15학점) : Business Analysis, Principles of Management, Introduction to Economics, Principles of Marketing, Market Reserch 

추가로 하반기에 이수할 학점은 다음과 같다.

회계학(9학점): 회계정보시스템(Accounting Information SystemⅠ), 비영리조직회계(Nonprofit Organization Accounting), 연결회계(Accounting for Combined Statements) 

경영학(9학점): 경영통계학, 국제경영, 재무관리

결과적으로,

회계학 24학점, 경영학 24학점을 취득하여 취득기준시점인 내년 1월에 응시요건 Evaluation을 제출 할 수 있을 것 같다.

아마도 그러면 시험 응시가능날짜는 빠르면 3월 혹은 4월 이후 ?? ㅠㅠ

시험 변경되는 사항이 좀 걱정되긴하지만, 어쩔 수 없을 것 같다.
